Model DARKGREEN — Tribute to an unsung hero

DARKGREEN

A faithful web-based recreation of an unsung hero and black sheep of the DX family. A four-operator FM synthesizer with 8-voice polyphony, 8 waveforms (sines are boring), 128 factory presets (lovingly ignored and replaced with better ones) and a patch editor built for people with tiny fingers. Runs entirely in your browser. No installation. No payment.
No really.

Our Story

Digital Soul

Codophonics was founded with a single mission: to build virtual instruments with the heart and passion we felt when we discovered synthesizers as kids.

We believe that making sounds and music should be a joyful business, and not one that takes itself too seriously. We also believe that it shouldn’t come with a price tag only some can afford, which is why we promise to make as many of our instruments as possible free and accessible.

And that starts with DARKGREEN.

We’re just starting out on our journey. We don’t know where it will lead but we’re excited to find out and we’d love you to join us for the ride. Follow us at the links below for updates, news, and all things VST.

The
Patch Bay

Beverley sends out The Patch Bay whenever something happens worth mentioning. This is roughly four times a year, unless Mildred finishes something early, in which case more often. It contains patch notes, workshop news, the occasional recipe, and Beverley’s opinions on things, which are, and shall forever remain, her own.
